In 2009, we joined United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative for ethical business practice.
Our UN Global Compact membership assists in aligning strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour rights, environment, and anti-corruption, as well as taking actions that can advance societal goals.
In addition to being part of the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, we are members of two industry associations: The Restaurateurs’ Guarantee Association (REGA) and The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA). Thus, we do not only focus on ensuring good corporate citizenship. We also work together with our peers to create a solid foundation of working systematically with international principles on sustainability within the restaurant industry.
We believe that active participation of employees in how we approach sustainability is essential for progress and creating results. Therefore, it is crucial that it is a business priority making it a value driver in everyone’s everyday life at Sticks’N’Sushi.
As we are now too many fishes to expect to talk with each other every day, we instead have colleagues in every restaurant assigned the role of SushiStainable Ambassador.
The ambassadors are internal drivers who have a bit more insight into the details of the work and therefore act as link between our administration and restaurant, where you visit us.
Furthermore, we want to make a difference where it is possible, and therefore, we also work proactively in forming partnerships that contribute to causes beyond the daily operations. We believe that working together can increase our capacity to create positive change through sharing of knowledge, resources, and expertise.
