Our Covent Garden Sticks’n’Sushi restaurant is perfectly located in the centre of London's illustrious theatre quarter. The restaurant is a short walk from The Strand and Leicester Square. The décor is impeccable, and the menu offers a range of Japanese-inspired cocktails to complete your day of shopping or theatre going.
Small house, big taste
Located on Henrietta Street, named after the wife of Charles I. It was installed in 1631, and the beautiful old building has witnessed a lot since then. It had been an Australian pub for many years when we moved in—the Australian pale ale has since been substituted for our own sake and Sushi’n’Biiru Wheat beer.
The façade of our Covent Garden restaurant is black, and the small house with the black door and wide marquee are snugly nestled in between other historical buildings. The walls are raw and rustic on the inside, and the windows allow for the grey English daylight to seep into the restaurant. We found two fireplaces during restoration work and chose to decorate the restaurant in a way that paid homage to the history of the building.
The menu is our staple, filled with vegetables, meat, and fish – and of course high-class sushi. There is something for everyone, regardless of whether they prefer raw or grilled. There is even a balanced mix of sushi, grilled delicacies, and colourful salads. The vegetables are fresh —and our presentations are innovative and appeal to the senses. As always, we offer desserts, Japanese beers, and sake (and if you prefer your raw fish with carbonated beverages, that can easily be arranged, too).
