Nansensgade

The first Sticks’n’Sushi restaurant is still thriving on Nansensgade

Sushi on Nansensgade – where it all began

Our restaurant on Nansensgade is the first Sticks’n’Sushi restaurant in Copenhagen. It was here in 1994 that Jens and Kim Rahbek, together with Thor Andersen, opened the small basement space on Nansensgade and introduced Copenhageners to the combination of sushi and grilled sticks. The space is still intimate and close to the street, where life on Nansensgade flows by. Here, Japanese simplicity meets Copenhagen atmosphere in a restaurant where the history can still be felt in the walls. The restaurant is located close to Nørreport, Torvehallerne and the lakes – and this is where the adventure began.
